My art works are the result of a process of self exploration, an exploration that will continue throughout my lifetime.
In the medium of painting, I dig through the layers of the paint and discover events in the form of figures that appear, previously hidden.
These obscure and uncovered layers are analogous not only to the phases of my own life, but to the human condition in general.
My style of work is influenced by the Abstract Expressionists in general and the New York School artists in particular.
My art originates in the unconscious, and indeed it is evident in my paintings that they spring from personal experiences, striving to convey such experiences to the viewer.
I see the role of the artist as a mediator between the observer and their inner reality. The artist places a “mirror” in front of the observer and thus exposes him or her to their inner most feelings.
